ATI + Nvidia, comment activer le PhysX + traduction

I just wanted to make this tutorial so you can enjoy your games that use physx when using a ATI card as your main GFX. To make this mod work at all, you need a Physx compatible video card and two PCIex slots (whether it be x16/x8/x1). The 8xxx series and up are physx compatible but i would recommend a 9600GT or above to make sure its powerful enough to render the physx. I have attached the files below you need to get this mod working.

• FIRST. Install the ATI card into the machine, Then install the newest drivers (10.3 at the moment). Then shut the PC down.

• SECOND. Install the Nvidia card in the second PCIex slot, then boot into safe mode. Install the 196.21 drivers. After the drivers are installed DO NOT RESTART.

• THIRD. Run the physx mod 1.20 exe file you extracted. when the program loads press CAKE and it will patch the files in your OS. once its done restart the PC.

To check to see if it is working, run fluidmark and it should say hardware physx. if it doesn't, go to nvidia control panel and disable physx then re enable physx and test again.

* NOTES :

• 1. If you are unable to patch the files due to "file in use" error, you may try one of the following solutions:

- Terminate all NVIDIA runtimes (nv***.exe) and Windows Explorer shell (explorer.exe) manually before patching.

- Try using the mod under Safe Mode.

• 2. It is safe to apply the patch several times - all needed files will be patched only once.

• 3. After reboot you may find "*.tmp" files in system directories left after patching. You can safely delete or leave them.

• 4. This mod only works on Windows 7 and Windows XP. for some reason it doesn't work on VISTA

• 5. The only problem i have noticed is when you restart, it sometimes doesn't enable physx even tho Nvidia control panel says it is. just go to nvidia control panel and disable physx then re enable physx and test again. ALWAYS CHECK WITH FLUIDMARK!! It should says hardware physx at the top of the test.

EN francais :

• Premièrement : Installer la carte ATI dans le premier slot et installer le tout dernier pilote ATI ( 10.3 présentement ) et éteindre la machine.

• Deuxièmenent : Installer la carte nVidia dans le 2e slot ( ou 3e ) et démarer en "Safe Mode". Installer le driver nVidia 196.21 et NE PAS REDÉMARER.

• Troisièmement : Exécuter le Phyxs MOD 1.20. Appuyer sur "CAKE" pour "patcher" les pilote ATI et nVidia ensemble. Redémarer le PC

* NOTES :

• 1 : Si vous ètes incapable de patcher a cause d'une erreur " File in use "

- Arrèter tout les process nvidia ( nv***.exe ) et windows explorer ( explorer.exe )

- Essayer d'utiliser le mod en "safe mode"

• 2 : C'est sécuritaire d'utiliser le "patch" plusieurs fois. Seulement les fichier nécéssaire seront "patché"

• 3 : Après le redémarage, vous allez trouver des fichier .tmp restant de l'installation. C'est correct de les laisser ou de les effacer.

• 4 : Ce mode fonctionne seulement sur windows 7 ou XP. Pour des raison inconnue ca ne fonctionne pas sous vista.

• 5 : Seul problème trouvé, parfois le physx c'est pas activé. Il suffit d'aller dans le panneau de controlle nVidia et le désactiver le physx et de le réactiver. Habituellement ca règle le problème. Exécuter fluidmark pour être sur que le physx est bel et bien activé. Il devrait être inscrit "hardware physx" dans le haut de la fenêtre du test.

J'ai essayer de le faire - cf5870 + 9800 gt physx

pour fluidmark sa tripler les fps avg 32 vs 105.

avec batman j'ai pas vu de différence il etais deja tres fluide.

pour 3dmark vantage je pensais bien gagner qq pts mais ...

Remarque j'ai tester avec 196.34+10.4 et 197.45+10.4 meme resultat.

le bruit de la 9800 gt est tres fort donc je l'ai enlever pour le moment et peut-etre réessayer une autre fois

bon @+ Les nobles dans ma ville ont besoin de lunettes (dawn of discovery ou anno 1404) 8-)

J'ai trouver la combinaison :friends:

1- installer driver ati 8.74 (en passant il roule tres bien bad company 2 - 7 sec pour loader une map) http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=319691

2- installer driver nvidia 196.34

3- en safe mode

- installer dernier physx

- physx mod 1.02 - cake pour patcher

- installer extended display fix

- restart

4 - Réactiver le physx dans le nvidia control panel.

et le résultat

le cpu est passé de 24-25k a 44k 8-)
